Adeline Lawrence Hutter

(1846-1926)

Adeline "Ada" Lawrence Hutter was born at Sandusky November 8, 1846. She was 17 years old and living at Sandusky with her parents, George Christian and Harriet Hutter, during the Civil War and the Battle of Lynchburg. It is because of the diary she kept during the war that we know details of how the war affected Sandusky and the Hutter family.

She married Leroy William Long, Attorney-at-Law who served with the rank of Major in the Confederate Army through the Civil War.
