Researching History

My name is Cody Ramsey and I am a Junior Criminology major at the University of Lynchburg. I began working here at Historic Sandusky in March of 2019, and it has quickly become one of the best jobs I have had. Starting out, I was able to transcribe historical Civil War letters which gave me a great insight into the daily lives of soldiers and civilians in the 19th century. Throughout my time here, I’ve had the opportunity to try my hand at a few different tasks and projects at Sandusky. In addition to the transcriptions, I was able to be a part of a large research project involving the facilities in Lynchburg during the Civil War.
